Prior to serving in the TX House I served as a teaching elder at WoodsEdge Community Church. I was involved for 14 years with Mighty Oaks Foundation, helping Veterans with Post Traumatic Stress with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I started a construction and service company in 2003. We have a dozen employees. I was first elected to the Texas House in 2013 and served one term ending in 2015. I came back to the House in 2019 and am currently serving the people of District 15. An ordained minister and small business owner, Steve Toth knows what’s at stake when Republicans cede ground to the progressive left and lose sight of our strong conservative values. Fully oppose. My record is passing legislation that has opposed any and all mandates.

There is a double standard in nearly every form of criminal law with J6 Victims. Most of these people have not even walked into the capital. This is a total sham. I don’t have a ready answer. I fully support the elimination of the DOE. Since its inception in 1980, test scores and student outcomes have plummeted. It’s a woke and broke.

I fully support term limits. I will both offer and sponsor legislation for term limits. 1 term in the Senate for 6 years and 3 terms in Congress for a total of 6 years is fine. Or, 2 terms in the Senate for a total of 12 years and 6 terms in the House for a total of 12 years.
Do you support or oppose the PATRIOT ACT and efforts to build government databases that monitor the activities of the public-at-large, including bank deposits, phone usage, health care, air travel, schoolchildren, and gun purchases, etc.? Do you believe that the government is currently collecting this data?
I support monitoring anyone being brought into our country. That said, it’s a violation of the 4th amendment to keep tabs on and monitor US Citizens. Liberty is messy but the alternative is a slow road to tyranny.

Governments have no rights. They do have interests. In the event that a child is being physically harmed as in a beating that causes physical damage to the child or if the child is not being fed. If the child is being sexually exploited as well. Those are conditions that would support their removal.
Do you support or oppose allowing parents to opt out their children from curricula, books, classes, surveys, or methodologies which parents consider privacy-invading or offensive to their personal, moral or religious beliefs?
We need to end “Opt Out” and adopt “Opt In”. First off, no books or curricula that is obscene should be seen by our kids. If something is remotely questionable the school should require the kids to get permission for their children to be involved in that class.

Do you really want to open the door to allowing the Feds to violate Article 1 Section 4 of the constitution? Once the vail is pierced for our noble intent, the Left will violate in the worst way. Same day voting, On line voting, illegals voting etc., etc. It will all be exploited....

Enforce the revolving door for lawmakers and their staff. No one on Capitol Hill should ever be allowed to lobby.

Until you have E-Verify, there’s little that we can do. I have continued to file that bill in TX every single year.

Failure of government to stay in the small box our Founders created for Government to play in. America has a grotesque spending problem and not a revenue problem.

Over 50% of births in Texas are Medicaid births of women who are here illegally. Illegal immigration is breaking our educational system, our healthcare system and our criminal justice systems. It has to end.

They should lose their charters and be taken over by State Government.

It needs to end immediately. If Western Europe wants to keep Ukraine free then let them pay for it.

The WTO is a joke, we should leave it.
Explain the relationship between the states and the Federal government regarding maintaining the border?
The States created the Federal Government not the other way around. The Federal Government has a constitutional mandate to close the border.
At what point should the "right to life" or "personhood" be granted to new human beings (e.g., at conception, 13 weeks of gestation, birth, 5 days old, 18 years old, etc)? What action, if any, will you take to reflect this in law?
Life starts at conception. I’m fine with giving the death penalty to any doctor or agent that forces a woman into an abortion.
