For 17 years as Montgomery County District Attorney, I have stood on the front lines of law and order, earning a reputation as a fearless defender of public safety and principled conservative leadership. Guided by my personal motto, “Let justice be done though the heavens fall,” I have never wavered in my mission: ...

What is the office you are running for?
Texas State Senate, District 4
Why are the 3 main reasons you're running for this office and what are 3 main goals you hope to accomplish? How many terms do you plan to serve?
Reasons: 1. To defend public safety. 2. To protect taxpayers by reducing the burden of property taxes and ensuring government accountability....
This is a Republican primary race. Do you promise, if elected, to abide by the RPT platform?
Yes, I promise to abide by the RPT Platform.
If not, please enumerate what problems you have with the RPT Platform. https://texasgop.org/platform/
N/A
What did you think of the faction led by Dade Phelan to try to oust AG Ken Paxton?
The process lacked transparency, due process, and fairness.
What issues are your personal, do-or-die priorities for the next legislative session?
1. Public Safety 2. Border Security 3. Property Tax Reform ...
What is your view regarding reducing or eliminating property taxes in favor of increased sales taxes and increased user fees? Will you carry legislation in support of the latter?
I support reducing and ultimately eliminating property taxes — Texans should own their homes, not rent them from the government. Transitioning to a consumption-based model may work if implemented responsibly.
What were your thoughts about Speaker Burrows appointing all Democrats as Vice Chairs?
I am a candidate for the Texas Senate. Lt. Governor Patrick and the Senate Republican caucus operate very differently from the House
Will you submit a bill eliminating the ability of a member of the Texas Legislature to change their vote after the official vote is recorded?
No
The House Speaker has too much power (fact). Describe the rule changes needed to distribute some of that power & how that can be accomplished.
I am a candidate for the Texas Senate. Lt. Governor Patrick and the Senate Republican caucus operate very differently from the House.
What is your opinion of officials who promote "who they know" candidates to run for elected positions because of association while also backing them financially? The ol', "I'll rub your back if you rub mine" system?
This practice has no place in our institutions. There must be meritocracy, and the best representative for the constituents should be elected.
What's your position on property taxes? Can they realistically be eliminated and if so, how?
Property taxes can and must be reduced. I support a constitutional cap on local government spending.
Please describe your plan for balancing the Texas budget. What budget items need to be cut and what taxes and fees need to be increased?
Per the Texas Constitution, there must be a balanced budget. Additionally, I would support auditing every state agency, freezing non-essential hiring, prioritizing public safety, and opposing new taxes.
Do you support or oppose requiring schools, public health departments or any medical personnel to secure consent from a parent or legal guardian before prescribing, dispensing or administering contraceptive drugs or devices to a minor?
Support
List anyone you have lobbied for or represented at any governmental agency during the past five years.
As the elected DA for Montgomery County, Texas, I represented the State of Texas in my official capacity. I have testified in 8 sessions over the last 17 years, proudly representing Texas in the interest of public safety.
Please describe your views on gambling as a funding source for education and other budget items, and whether gambling should be expanded or reduced along with the reasons supporting your viewpoint.
This is not an issue that the voters have brought to me as a concern or need.
Would you actively support legislation to reign in rogue DA's? Why or why not?
Absolutely. No DA should have the authority to nullify laws passed by the Legislature.
Do you support the 10 Commandments being displayed in all of our public schools' classrooms? What is the role of public education as it relates to parental rights?
Yes. The 10 Commandments reflect the moral foundation of our laws and culture.
If you were able to fix how public education was funded, how would you do it and why?
Return control to local communities, ensure funding follows the student, and prioritize classrooms over bureaucracy.
Do you support or oppose implementing term limits for all elective offices? Why or why not?
Yes. Public office should be a season, not a career.
If in the Texas Legislative session you are given the opportunity to allow "We the People" to vote on an issue in an election rather than our Representatives, would you encourage/push for that? (e.g. The School Choice Bill)
Yes
What have you done or will you do to prevent or extract Common Core, CRT, SEL and IB from our schools' systems?
I support legislation to ban CRT, SEL, and any divisive curricula from our schools. In the last 17 years, the DA’s office was run as a pure meritocracy, which was the cornerstone of our success.
What role would you play as an elected official when you see malfeasance in local government?
I would expose malfeasance and hold officials accountable — regardless of party or position. I have a proven track record of taking this position as the DA of Montgomery County.
Do you support Interposition and Nullification as it pertains to Texas State Sovereignty?
Yes. When the federal government fails in its duty, Texas must act to defend its people and sovereignty. A perfect example would be Governor Abbott taking extreme measures to protect our border and defend our towns, whether it be through barbed wire or busing infiltrators from our communities.
Will you to vote prohibit the use of state funds to teach immigrants in their native languages, instead of English (so-called bilingual education?)
Yes. Taxpayer dollars should prioritize English proficiency.
Is there anything in your background of an embarrassing nature that should be explained before your election? (e.g., Arrests/Convictions? Bankruptcies?)
No. My record as District Attorney is open, transparent, and guided by integrity.
